Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Photofuffle ("we," "us," or "the service"). By creating an account or otherwise using Photofuffle, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Photofuffle. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of every photo, caption, description, and critique you post. We don't take ownership of your work.

By uploading a photo, you grant Photofuffle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that photo on the service — for example, in the feed, on your profile, and on the photo's own page — for as long as it remains posted. This license exists solely to let us operate the service and ends when you delete the photo (subject to the retention window described below) or close your account.

When you upload a photo, you affirm that you own it or otherwise have the legal right to post it and to grant the license above. This isn't just a formality — the upload form requires you to check a box confirming this before your photo can be submitted, and our systems are built to make it impossible to upload without doing so.

3. How posting works

Photofuffle isn't a free-for-all upload service — posting is earned through participation. You earn critique credits by giving other members thoughtful, substantive feedback on their photos. Publishing a photo of your own costs credits. We may also apply reasonable daily limits on how many photos any one account can publish, and we may adjust the exact credit amounts and limits from time to time to keep the community healthy.

We review uploads before they become publicly visible, and we may reject, remove, or take down any content that violates these Terms, our community standards, or applicable law.

4. Deletion and your recycle bin

You can delete your own photos and critiques at any time. When you do, they're removed from public view immediately but kept in a recoverable state for a limited window (currently 30 days) in case you change your mind, after which they're permanently deleted from our systems.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content you don't own or have rights to
  • Upload illegal, infringing, or sexually explicit content
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
  • Spam the critique queue or feed
  • Attempt to manipulate the credit system, ratings, or view counts outside of normal use
  • Impersonate another person or entity

6. Account restriction, suspension, and termination

We may restrict an account's ability to post new content, suspend an account entirely, or remove specific content, at our discretion, if we believe these Terms or our community standards have been violated. Repeat or serious violations — including copyright infringement, see our DMCA Policy — may result in permanent suspension.

7. Disclaimers

Photofuffle is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be preserved indefinitely. Critique and feedback shared on the service reflects the opinions of individual members, not Photofuffle.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Photofuffle is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let members know. Continuing to use Photofuffle after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
